Who or What is the South Asian Bar Association of Florida (SABA Florida)?
SABA Florida is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the professional development of South Asian American attorneys, law students, and legal-industry professionals including politicians and Judges) throughout Florida. We serve as a bridge between the South Asian legal community and the broader legal profession, fostering networking, mentoring, and community service.

The South Asian Bar Association of Florida (SABA Florida) is an active local chapter of the South Asian Bar Association of North America (SABA North America), the national organization for South Asian legal professionals and law students. Membership in SABA Florida automatically includes membership in SABA North America, and the two organizations regularly collaborate, with past SABA Florida leadership also serving in national roles. SABA Florida is a voluntary bar association for attorneys and law students in Florida, and we work closely with The Florida Bar to serve as a bridge to Florida’s South Asian community through events, forums, and educational programs.

We provide educational resources, scholarships, and professional development opportunities to support the advancement of South Asian legal professionals. Our initiatives include hosting engaging legal and professional social events that encourage networking and outreach across Florida’s legal community.
Who can join SABA Florida?
Membership is open to two groups: attorneys or other legal-industry professionals licensed and in good standing in any jurisdiction and law students interested in advancing their careers in the legal field. Joining SABA Florida also grants membership to the South Asian Bar Association of North America.

What types of events does SABA Florida organize?
We host a variety of events throughout Florida, including legal seminars, Continuing Legal Education (CLEs), networking mixers, advocacy events (e.g, moderated Q&A sessions with featured guest speakers), panel discussions, wellness sessions, award nights, and social gatherings.
